Slicing
DEFINITION: The ball curves heavily to the right because the clubface is open at impact.
Here are some possible solutions. If you continue to have the problem, go get a lesson and have someone watch you swing. They can usually have you back on track in one lesson.
Grip-Make sure the "V" in both hands is pointing toward your right shoulder.
Stance-Make sure your feet, knees, hips, and shoulders are parallel to your target. Occasionally, right after I hit, I'll put a club down across the tips of my shoes to check my alignment.
Swing-Make sure you have an inside to outside swing path.
Body-Don't let your body get ahead of your arms and hands on the downswing.
Swing Plane-Make it flatter.
Relax-Most of the time, decent golfers start slicing when they get tense.
